Mahim Bora

Mahim Bora ((アッサム語:মহিম বৰা)) (born 1924) is an Indian writer and educationist from Assam. He was elected as a president of the Asam Sahitya Sabha held in 1989 at Doomdooma. He was awarded with most notably with the ''Padma Shri'', ''Sahitya Akademi Award'' and ''Assam Valley Literary Award''.
==Brief life==
Mahim Bora was born at a tea estate of Sonitpur district. He is an M.A. in Assamese literature from Gauhati University and had been a teacher in the Nowgong College for most of his teaching career. He has now retired and lives at Nagaon. Bora spent a good part of his childhood in the culture-rich surroundings of rural Nagaon.
